The Demyanka river on maps by S.U. Remezov and ethno-archaeological investigations
The paper describes opportunities of conducting ethno-archaeological works and studying ethno-archaeo-logical complexes (EÀC) of Siberian peoples after maps by S.U. Remezov, as well as of conducting detailed studies of certain components of EAC: a settling system, means of communication, boundaries between population groups.

On certain features of formation and economic development of a Polish community from West Siberia in XIX — early ÕÕ c.
The article is devoted to questions of formation and development of a Polish community in West Siberia in XIX — early ÕÕ c. Of particular comment being sources of the community’s formation in the region. The author presents data on its number, location, and economic activities of the Poles in Siberia, citing different facts from their life.

Ways of transition from settled to nomadic life and vice versa at Yamal in 1930s.
The article considers factors determining transition from settled to nomadic life and vice versa, regarding the Yamal Nenets in 1930s. Basing on analysis of concrete examples obtained from the initial materials of a household census of the Northern peoples, it is shown that a leading objective stimulus determining a choice in favour of nomadic life was aim and opportunities for a household to gain economic benefit.

Komi migrants in Tara Uyezd of Tobolsk province in the late XIX — early XX century
Subject to consideration being processes of formation of Komy-Zyryan population on the territory of Tara Uyezd. Basing on analysis of archive documents, the author describes dynamics of their number, composition of family names, a territory of the migrants’ previous residence, as well as formation of new Komi settlements in Tara Uyezd.

Islamic Siberian cult complexes of astana as hierotopy: sacral spaces and religious identity
The article effects investigation methods regarding traditional Islamic astana sanctuaries of Siberian Moslems as hierotopies. Subject to discovery being factors and conditions of developing sacral spaces. By the example of one of the most striking Siberian Moslems’ sanctuaries of the Tyurmityak astana, the author attempts to analyse such components of hierotopy as development of sacral space, creation of the local world, connection of times and generations, legitimation of inclusion into a sacral sphere.

«The Vedic rituals» with peoples of West Siberia: posthumous dishes
The article describes archaeological and ethnographic sources from burial places of late medieval and New Time belonging to Selkups from a local dialect group of «shieshgula» (see Barklaj, Kustovsky), and Salym Khanti (Ust-Balyk). It allows to correlate burial and commemorative rites with Ob Ugrians and Samoyeds with notions of ancient peoples who left a description of their burial procedures in the written sources named Vedas.
